How do you conjugate a verb in the present tense?

It all depends on the infinitive verb ending. For regular verbs; if it ends in -er: 1) Remove the -er from the end of the verb 2) Add the following verb endings, depending on the pronoun, je: -e, tu: -es, il/elle/on: -e, nous: -ons, vows: -ez, ills/elles: -ent. If it ends in -ir: 1) Remove the -ir from the end of the verb 2) Add the following verb endings, depending on the pronoun, je: -is, tu: -is, il/elle/on: -it, nous: -issons, vows: -issez, ills/elles: -issent. If it ends in -re: 1) Remove the -re from the end of the verb 2) Add the following verb endings, depending on the pronoun, je: -s, tu: -s, il/elle/on: -don’t add anything, nous: -ons, vows: -ez, ills/elles: -ent. For example, if you wanted to say I finish 1) Get the verb in its infinitive, finir 2) remove –it, fin 3) add the ending for je, finis. Et voila!
