Outline the various ways that you can differentiate a function

The ways to differentiate a function depend on the function itself. If there is only one x value in the function you can differentiate as normal (hard to explain on a computer), yet if the function contains more than one x value is a separate place, you will need to use another approach such as the chain, product or quotient rule

f(x) = (sin(x))^3. What is f'(x)

You are given the function f(x)=x^3-x^2-7x+3, and that x=3 is a root of f(x)=0. Find the exact values of the other 2 roots. (6 marks)

Factorise completely x − 4 x^3

Identify the stationary points of f(x)=3x^3+2x^2+4 (by finding the first and second derivative) and determine their nature.
