How do I revise for my exam?

Don’t be afraid to use all the resources. Websites like sparknotes can be really good for getting your head around the main plot of the text, but make sure you don’t use this as a substitute for actually reading it. One of the main resources to use is the mark scheme. If there’s anything on the marks scheme you don’t understand, ask your teacher to explain it to you, as that is what you are being assessed on. Once you know what the examiner wants from you, it will be a lot easier to tailor your answer to hit those high grade boundaries. It’s always useful to make quote sheets. Whether you learn best by colour coding your quotes to individual themes/characters, or create flash cards with important quotes/themes on the back, it’ll be much easier to include high grade analysis if you know which quotes fit with which themes, and how you plan to analyse them. It would be useful to focus on three or four themes, and all of the major characters. This way if you get a difficult question on theme you can still attack the character questions, and vice versa.
