Where in the text does it tell us that the protagonist is 'anxious'?

This question is a great way of both examining the student's understanding of 'anxiety', how to describe and then bring an investigatory eye to the text to find word, and phrases that relate to this. It's great way of getting a student thinking, whilst also being analytical.
