The volume of liquid in a container is given by v=(3h^2+4)^(3/2)-8, find dV/dh when h = 0.6

Chain rule: dV/dh=9h(3h^2+4)^(1/2)
sub in h=0.6 , dV/dh = 12.17

How do I integrate by parts?


I don't understand why the function "f(x)=x^2 for all real values of x" has no inverse. Isn't sqrt(x) the inverse?


The point A lies on the curve with equation y = x^(1/2). The tangent to this curve at A is parallel to the line 3y-2x=1. Find an equation of this tangent at A. (PP JUNE 2015 AQA)
