What things should I compare about two texts?

The best way to start with a comparison is to the of the 5 W's: who, what, where, when, why. Look at who the text is written for and who it is about, how the writer has written the text, why it was written etc. From there you can start drawing parallels and difference to develop from. It is important to make sure you look at the similarities and the differences. Then you have to look deeper as to why they are different/similar? Then again you go back to your 5 W's when were they written? What is the Author trying to make you feel?
