Want to help your teen reach their full potential? Helping them explore how and what they like to learn, as well as the topics they might struggle with, is a great first step.

That’s why we’ve created a wide collection of resources. This covers everything from videos that answer tricky exam questions to downloadable revision planners and ebooks, to tips on looking after their mental health during exam season.

We’ve got you in mind too – bringing parents weekly advice and ideas for supporting their learning, across our blog, ebooks and social channels.

1. MyTutor Squads: free lessons on YouTube

We want as many teens as possible to benefit from the help of our tutors. That’s why we launched Squads – free weekly sessions in GCSE Maths and Chemistry to help them in the lead-up to exams. There are sessions in Artificial Intelligence too, so they can start to learn a valuable skill for the future. Sign up to get the joining links.

2. Study hacks and self-care tips for teens on Instagram @MyTutor

Over on Instagram, we’ve got loads of study hacks and wellbeing tips for your teen. Here they can learn how to create a revision timetable and download free resources like a study planner. There are lots of tips for looking after their wellbeing during more stressful times like exam season. And, our expert tutors run regular ‘Ask me anything’ live events, where they answer your teen’s burning GCSE and A level study questions.

3. Free ebooks for teens and parents

For a deeper dive into exam revision, careers, universities, and apprenticeships, we’ve put together downloadable ebooks. Whether your teen’s looking for help navigating the uni application process, or they want to get ready for exams – we break down all the info into digestible chunks. With everything in one place, they can easily check back too.

4. Explainer videos and self-care tips from our tutors on TikTok @MyTutorUK

Our tutors double as mentors and role models who inspire teens to do their best.

TikTok isn’t just about learning the latest dance. Over on our student TikTok channel, our tutors break down tricky topics in GCSE and A-level subjects. Students at top UK unis themselves, our tutors share tips on how they revise, manage their study time and look after their wellbeing. 

5. An online tutor (and mentor) for 1-1 support

If your teen has gaps in their learning, 1-1 support at a pace that suits them can be a huge help. Our online tutors are just a few years ahead in their education and as they’ve recently sat their exams, they know how to reach the best grades possible. 6. Youtube with advice from leading educators, psychologists and tutors

Over on our YouTube channel, you can get advice on parenting by watching our latest talks and webinars. With world-renowned educators and mental health specialists such as Prof Guy Claxton and Prof Barbara Oakley, you can find out how to encourage, coach and comfort your child through their education. 

Teens can also watch webinars and group tutorials for them from expert tutors. Exam season here we come. 

7. Regular parenting advice on our Facebook

Over on our Facebook page, you can see weekly advice, wellbeing tips and education updates to help you support your child’s learning. We share tips from teen mental health professionals and breakdown complex education news so you can get the info you need to know. Plus, see what other parents are saying about how they help their kids through their challenges at school.

8. Group courses to help your teen make the most of revision

This half term, we’re launching group courses for KS3, GCSE and A-level. In groups of max 6 students, your teen is guided by an expert tutor in their subject. The courses are cost-effective, great at helping your teen manage their study time, and help to build confidence. In groups, teens can motivate each other so that they reach their potential. See the courses and book a place while they last.

Helping your teen reach their full potential isn’t always an easy task. So, we share weekly blogs full of advice and tips for supporting your teen’s studies and wellbeing. From how to encourage their creativity to new young adult books they may love, we’re here to support you too.
