Ecological and Environmental Sciences with Management
Edinburgh
200+ lessons
University of Edinburgh 3rd year undergrad studying Ecological and Environmental Sciences with Management I've been on MyTutor for almost two years and have taught 200 lessons. I've helped students wanting to raise low grades at both A-level and GCSE as well students aiming to maintain their position at Grade 9 and A*s After every lesson, I will compile a detailed list of all the information covered and send it to you immediately after the lesson. This ensures that you don't have to fuss about scribbling things down and instead can focus on learning and improving your understanding. Also, it means that six months down the line, all your flashy case-study info or the perfect answer to explain how the melting points of Group 1 and Group 7 vary is waiting for you, ready to revise! Parents and students alike have told me how useful these notes are especially as they are tailored to the student's learning style, which they can either inform me of or we will figure it out along the way.

Hi there! I’m a graduate with a passion to see young people achieve their best potential. Having volunteered within education from literacy workshops, education outreach at university, being an academic mentor in Maths, I learnt I just enjoy sparking confidence in others, their abilities and interests - whatever they may be. I’m a firm believer that STEM is for everyone and with the right environment and support you can build confidence in your abilities to tackle challenging concepts. STEM can be really hard. You’re not alone in your frustrations, completing both my degree and A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics, I completely understand the frustration when things don’t seem to click. With that in mind my primary goal with tutorials is not that you get everything right straight away but to equip you with the skills and tools to help tackle problems, which when strengthened lead you to where you need to be. As a tutor I care about you learning holistically, meaning embedding knowledge of subjects across different topics. It can be really difficult to learn topics when they feel segmented but seeing how things weave together lets you see the bigger picture and understand your curriculum better. You deserve to be as best possibly equipped when facing your education and it would lovely to come alongside you to both guide and cheer you on as you go through the process.

Hi, my name is Amelia, I am studying for a Masters and have recently completed a degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, specialising in Genetics. I really enjoy tutoring and have been gaining experience tutoring different age groups for over five years. I tutor Maths, Biology and Chemistry from Common Entrance to A level. I am excited to take on some new students and to impart the enthusiasm I have for the biological sciences; I often find it effective to relate a certain scientific concept to its current application in the wider field. I think that academic confidence is one of the most important outcomes of tutoring, especially in the sciences, and I intend to build my student’s confidence by establishing a deep understanding of each topic. By understanding the purpose behind a calculation or a process, it is easier to apply a similar logic in an unfamiliar situation, as required by the exam. I also specialise in tutoring over the summer. In my experience, students that undertake tutoring over the summer start their academic year with a heightened interest in their subject and the confidence to engage fully in lessons. Please feel free to drop me a message and we can arrange a chat.

Hey I'm Teb! I've chosen to study Psychology and Neuroscience at University of Bristol as I feel like this degree combines my love for understanding the how and why of human behavior. I believe that I will enable students to improve as I am passionate about teaching the subjects I loved studying and GCSE and A level and the aspects of them I continued to study at degree level. Also, I would consider myself to be a very caring and empathetic person that would help my tutees reach their full potential. My lessons are tailored to my students needs and hopefully this makes them achieve the best grades possible.
