Coca-cola's headquarters, research and design occurs in Atlanta in the United States of America, yet it has over 900 bottling and manufacturing services worldwide. Manufacturing overseas helps the economic development of the host countries through transfer of skills, job creation, and new technologies. Coca-cola advertises and markets its brand everywhere, from TV adverts to roadside billboards to sports events on a global reach. Although Coca-cola is an American brand, it depends upon resources from other parts of the world, e.g. water from India, electricity from Uganda and workers in Europe.
