Describe what red shift is and why i provides evidence for the Big Bang Theory.

Red-shift is the increase in wavelength emitted from distant objects moving away from the observer, making them appear more red.The Big Bang Theory states that the universe began from a singularity which then expanded, meaning objects are moving away from each other, leading to red-shift.
