Why do the trig addition formulae work?

Try differentiating:sin(x)cos(z-x)+cos(x)sin(z-x)with respect to x and for constant z, then simply the derivative you deduce, then integrate throughout the simplified equation. See what happens!

If y = ln (x+1) sin x , find dy/dx

Given that y=(4x-3)^3 x sin2x find dy/dx

integrate (4x^3 +3)(x^4 +3x +16)^2 dx

Show that the volume of the solid formed by the curve y=cos(x/2), as it is rotated 360° around the x-axis between x= π/4 and x=3π/4, is of the form π^2/a. Find the constant a.
