X2+3X+5X+15

Take the first X in the first bracket and multiply by every number or letter in the second bracket.

Take the Second number in the first bracket and multiply by every number or letter in the second bracket.

(x+5)(x+3)=0

(x+5)=0

so x=-5

(x+3)=0

so x=-3
