How to differentiate 2x^5-4x^3+x^2 with respect to x

Rule of differentiating is to times down by the power and then reduce it by one.

Firstly we will handle the 2x5:

(2*5)x5-1=10x4

If we do this with the rest of the terms we get:

10x4-12x2+2x

Given the equation 0=5x^2+3xy-y^3 find the value of dy/dx at the point (-2,2)

Solve the simultaneous equations: x+y =2; x^2 + 2y = 12

Differentiate the following... f(x)= 5x^4 +16x^2+ 4x + 5

What is differentiation?
