Find the slope of the line perpendicular to the line y = (1/5)x - 2

Two lines are perpendicular if the product of their slopes is equal to -1. m1 x m2 = -1

The slope of the given line is equal to 1 / 5. If m is the slope of the line perpendicular to the given line, then

m1 x 1/5 = -1

m1 = -5 So slope of line is -5.
