Why is it that Gonorrhoea can be treated with an antibiotic, but HIV cannot?

Gonorrhoea is caused by a bacteria whereas HIV is a virus. Antibiotics are only effective on bacterial diseases, but do not treat viruses as they are found inside the host cell.
