Factorise x^2+12x+7

(x+4)(x+3) 

From the question you need to write out all the multiples of the coefficient of x, in this case:

1 and 12, 2 and 6, 3 and 4. The numbers in the brackets have to also add up to the number at the end, in this case it will be 3 and 4.
